Annual filing
Two plans, depending on whether you also want your Japanese return handled here.
Plan 1 — U.S. only ¥165,000 per year
Your U.S. federal return, FBAR and related forms. Suitable if your Japanese tax is settled by your employer through the year-end adjustment, or handled by another accountant.
Plan 2 — U.S. and Japan, prepared together ¥275,000 per year
Both returns under one engagement. Foreign tax credits, treaty positions and timing are decided once, with both sides of the picture on the same desk.
Additions
| PFIC (Japanese mutual fund or NISA holding) | +¥33,000 per fund |
| Self-employment income | +¥55,000 |
| Form 3520 (foreign gift or inheritance) | +¥55,000 |
| Rental property | +¥33,000 per property |
Every engagement begins with a fixed written quote, so nothing on this page becomes a surprise later.
